GCSE guide projects for Y10 student. They are designed by a GCSE moderator
to clarify areas of GCSE such as data collection, how to evaluate existing
products, how to consider quantity production and so on.

The booklets aim to give students an experience of these topics, without having to tackle the huge amount of work necessary for a GCSE project. This way the students get to know relevant terms, get a good idea of what is required when they eventually start their own projects in Y11 (and have notes to refer to). They can also really help the teachers get across to students exactly what is required at GCSE level.
We recommend that they are used as the main project in Y10 after the students have experienced some short FPT. So far the new projects are attracting much interest and are very useful.
The answers to the theory questions should be self evident to D&T teachers. However, answers for all booklets are provided on a separete website upon request. Please email, write or phone for a disc. You must have bought a booklet and be on our records.
