PROJECT OUTLINE: Clock Y9

Project Outline
This project provides an opportunity for year 9 students to do some analysis
and product dissemination. The project involves them understanding the
reasons for limitations and how to design with these in mind. On top of
designing a multi-material product they produce a parts list and learn how
to do costing.

Resources and Practical Tips (per student)
General workshop tools and off-cuts of all wood. Card for modelling of
stands and clocks. Scissors and craft knives. Students will produce
different outcomes so have lots of off-cuts other materials. Have a
selection of screws, bolts and hinges available. Different finishes are
needed for this project so have a selection available.
